The handle is made from stainless steel and works by squeezing to open the crucible tongs.
This is a reverse action tool.
With a large whip handle total length 9 3/4" making it perfect for holding the crucible, the melting dish can be used on gold, silver, brass, copper etc and are designed to withstand heats to 2000c
You must pre heat the crucible and use borax to prolong life.
